AYALA MUSEUM
This is arguably one of the best museums that is considered as the go-to spot of people and every art enthusiast. Get a glimpse of the Philippines’ rich history through impactful paintings and educational masterpieces in one go. This is located at Greenbelt Park, Makati Avenue, corner Dela Rosa Street, Ayala Center, Makati City.
FINALE ART FILE
Finale Art File is an art gallery famous for its three divided sections: The Tall Gallery, Upstairs Gallery, and Video Room.
What’s iconic in this gallery is that it celebrate Filipino painters, sculptors, printmakers, and installation artists by allowing them to showcase their pieces through exhibits. It is located at Warehouse 17, La Fuerza Compound (Gate 1), 2241 Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City.
MUSEO DE INTRAMUROS
Museo de Intramuros is considered as one of the most historic sites in Manila and was hailed as a national landmark. Part of the things you can see here are extensive collections of religious artifacts dating back to the 16th and 19th centuries. It is located at HXQF+X9G, Corner Arzobispo, Anda St, Intramuros, Manila.
PINTO ART MUSEUM
Well, this is definitely one of the go-to museums outside the Metro. Pinto Art Museum presents rotating exhibitions of the foundation’s collection and oversees an adjacent gallery space that promotes contemporary Filipino artists. Very Instagram-worthy! It is located at 1 Sierra Madre St. Grand Heights Rd, Antipolo, Rizal.
BENCAB MUSEUM
The famous museum in the highlands—BenCab Museum. BenCab Museum has a variety of art collections from Cordillera Gallery to Philippine Contemporary Gallery to Erotica Gallery and many more. Benedicto Cabrera, also known as Bencab, is a Filipino painter and a National Artist for the Philippine Visual Arts. Bencab Museum is located at Tuba, Benguet.
MUSEO SUGBO
This excellent museum comprises several galleries in a sturdy old coral-stone building that was Cebu’s provincial jail from 1870 to 2004. Aside from that the rooms are dedicated to eras in Cebu’s history, part of the gallery contains an interesting collection of letters and memorabilia from one of 1065 teachers known as Thomasites who arrived in the early days of the American period. It is located at M.J Cuenco Avenue, Cebu City.
GALLERIA TAAL
This one is one of the most perfect places to visit because Galleria Taal is the first and only vintage camera museum in the Philippines. You can take a close look at various vintage cameras (a lot of which are still functional) and view photo exhibits too, which include the only known existing photograph of Jose Rizal’s execution. It is located at Calle Agoncillo, Taal, Batangas.
