We are currently working on a client that approved a concept that relies heavily on typography. While we are looking for inspirations, we stumbled upon this fascinating typography and lettering artist, Rafael Serra. This Portugal-based artist has been very passionate about his craft and is no rookie working with famous ad agencies. His professional work includes QA Publicidade, Label Brand Studio, Leo Burnett Lisboa and Triple Atelier.
His typography works are innately fascinating. It is clean, in-your-face and with a focal concept of its own. Even though it has a retro vibe into it, the typefaces look clean and current. It’s like a reimagined version of the logos in a parallel world. His eye for minimalism is impeccable. It is like being a designer in the time period of a Clockwork Orange Film.
There are thousands of recreated famous logos in the net but this one certainly caught our eyes.
Why we dig this aesthetic?
- It is original.
- Authentic style never fades in the background.
- His choice of colors are intelligent.
- It is clean, minimal with a little bit of quirkiness.
- The artist’s personality comes out in every logo.
