Print is a widely used form of advertisement. Some of it can be pretty dull. However, some companies and brands know unique strategies to ignite attention by producing well-crafted print ads.
They add humor, character, and even emotion to an ad that makes it utterly memorable. These print ads are just too good not to share. So here’s our pick of creative print ad inspirations to get you through the day!
KitKat Lockdown
During the lockdown, everything went online. Zoom played a vital role from job meetings to classes. Even during these days, Kit-Kat found a very humorous way of creating an eye-catching print ad.
Sam Hennig created this ad showing a time slot full of busy zoom calls but cleverly set a time for a snack, i.e., the Kit-Kat. It was an entertaining and creative ad since working from home can be pretty hectic, and you deserve a little break amidst the chaos.
Keloptic featuring Van Gogh
Keloptic found a creative and fun way to market its eyeglasses. It is simple yet clever. Van Gogh’s self portrait is known for its impressionist style. However, Keloptic cleverly promoted their glasses by putting them in front of the portrait which resulted to a Van Gogh in 4K resolution. Clever and effective, a brilliant approach indeed!
KFC Apology
In 2018, the Kentucky Fried Chicken had some issues with the delivery of their products. As a result, most of the fried chickens ran out of production which is quite ironic for a fast food restaurant that serves the best fried chickens. Hence, KFC had to close down some of its branches.
However, KFC took responsibility and apologized to the public through a print ad which instantly went viral.
WMF knife
KNSK, a Hamburg-based designing company, made this print ad for the WMF gourmet knife. What a clever way to depict the sharpness of a knife. It’s definitely sharper than you think.
SANCCOB Save The Penguins
This print advertisement from SANCCOB is a great play on optical illusion. By looking at it carefully, we see a transformation of the African penguin’s demise.
They have used the inverted pyramid illusion to spread the message of the reducing number of African Penguins day by day. This non-profit is a unique attempt to spread awareness to the ones who deeply care.
Pepsi Halloween
Everybody is aware of the rivalry between the two biggest soft-drink brands in the world. Pepsi took quite a controversial step that might have triggered some coke lovers.
During the Halloween season, Pepsi made a print ad of itself in a coca-cola cape. And as if it was not enough, they also wrote a message wishing a scary Halloween. As triggering as it was, it was pretty funny. Well played, Pepsi.
Happy Diwali
This print advertisement was designed by ad agency, Yellow. The message of this ad focuses on the animals that are unable to protect themselves from the hazards caused by humanity, such as air or noise pollution.
Most of these hazards are caused during festivals. Hence, the agency has tried to spread awareness about keeping the celebrations within the limit for the sake of these animals as they cannot take care of themselves.
The letter “u” is removed to emphasize our primal responsibility. Such a thoughtful approach by yellow!
