Have you heard of the Pomodoro style and technique?
Pomodoro is a time management system that encourages people to work with the time that they have. This is ideal for types of work including coding, writing, design, and for study purposes.
HOW TO DO IT
- You have to set you to-do list and time.
- Set the time to 25 minutes and focus on that single task until the timer rings
- After your session ends, mark off one Pomodoro and record those you’ve completed.
- Enjoy the 5-minute break
NOTE: After each Pomodoro, make sure to take the five-minute break. After completing consecutive Pomodoros, you can now enjoy longer break from 20-30 minutes.
HERE ARE THE TOP POMODORO APPS THAT YOU CAN USE:
POMOFOCUS
Pomofocus is a customized Pomodoro timer that works on desktop and mobile browser. This is also similar to the traditional Pomodoro.
FOREST
This is one cute and clever app if you want to stay focused, you plant as a tree. You work and the timer counts down, the tree grows on your phone screen in front of you. If you leave the app, it withers and dies.
MARINARA TIMER
Marinara also uses simple custom design for easy navigation. You won’t be needing an account to share timers. You will be open three timer options: Custom, Kitchen, and Pomodoro.
Custom lets you set up whatever work/break/rest periods you and your team need; Kitchen is just a simple timer. Pomodoro is the normal 25/5 setup with a 15-minute break after four rounds.
