Rookie K-pop Groups To Watch Out This 2022

This is a fact: 2022 will be a huge year for K-pop groups.

With all those talents from your favorite current K-pop groups, the Korean entertainment industry never fails to produce and develop more talented groups and individuals in this aspect. People love it and that is for sure. Fandoms evolve easily and they branch out as many as they can—making K-pop the successful industry not only in Korea but all around the world.

Here are some K-pop groups who recently had their debut:

IVE

This is a six-member girl group debuted in late December with their debut hit, “Eleven”. They hit the K-pop scene as they managed to gather fans in and out of Korea that quick.

Members include Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo. IVE’s group name came from the phrase, “I have”. This group is under the Korean super-label, Starship Entertainment, which helped K-pop bands and idols grew like Sistar, Monsta X, and Cravity.

VIVIZ

Viviz is a South Korean girl group formed by BPM entertainment and it consists of three members from former girl group, GFriend: Eunha, SinB, and Umji.

The group’s name came from an abbreviation phrase, ’Vivid Days’, which translates to concepts like clear and intense and their agency defined their name as a group who proudly expresses their own colors to the world. Aside from that, its Korean counterpart name “Bibiji” refers to the names of the three members.

TRENDZ

Trendz is a seven-member boy group under Interpark Music Plus.

NMIXX

Nmixx is a group formed under SQU4D, a sub-label of JYP Entertainment. The group consists of powerful members: Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Jinni, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin. Their goal has always been about strengthening JYPE’s name as a “girl powerhouse” like the successful groups, TWICE and ITZY.

This girl group is also making a noise in the industry as they provide stunning visuals and bomb-ass dancing and singing.
