Big Bang is a South Korean boy band formed by YG Entertainment with four members: G-dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, and Daesung. This Korean boy band was dubbed as the ‘kings of k-pop’ because of their stunning visuals and mind-blowing vocals that add charisma to their global fans. This group is actually a five-member boy band, Seungri left the group in 2019.
Aside from filling their seats and thrones as kings, Big Bang is also the main reason why the Korean Wave is very successful—they’re one of the most influential music people known for their trends, self-production, and presence.
We can’t hide the fact that 2022 is one of the most awesome years of comeback and debut for K-idols to showcase world-class talents. Big Bang is also one of the pioneers who reached their global superstardom in 2011 when they won MTV EMA’s best worldwide act award and delighted fans with a Wonder Girls collaboration.
Finally, the hiatus is over. The four-year hiatus was such a long time since members had to attend their country’s mandatory military service and then COVID pandemic happened, putting a hindrance for an early come back. But one thing is for sure, they are here now.
According to YG Music, Big Bang will finally be releasing new music. They will be filming a music video to go with a new song, too – their first release since their last album “Flower Road” four years ago.
A teaser that shows a photo of a black polaroid against a white background was uploaded earlier this week—noting a text about its midnight release on April 5.
No other specific details were shared and it remains unclear whether this year’s comeback release is a digital single or an album.
