Netflix has announced that they’re working on an adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid novel ‘The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo’.
Familiar book? You got that right. This book became very famous widely advertised on BookTok (TikTok with book contents) and is now getting the attention it deserves. People who are also on Bookstagram (Instagram dedicated for books) are now hyping this even more.
This book tells the story of the Hollywood legend, Evelyn Hugo, who is determined to secure an A-list spot in the industry by doing whatever it takes to get there. Evelyn picks Monique Grant, a journalist she hired to write a profile for her. During their interview, Evelyn discusses her rise to fame and many details regarding her seven marriages, including many secrets that previously had not been revealed. Twists and secrets are about to be revealed later on with the story as soon as Grant discovers why she was picked to do the job.
Liz Tigelaar has been tapped to adapt this best-selling novel. She already has experience working with Taylor Jenkins Reid’s source material in other settings because she is currently adapting Malibu Rising—another Jenkins Reid novel for Hulu. In the past, Tigelaar has also adapted the famous Celeste Ng novel ‘Little Fires Everywhere’ into a limited series for Hulu with Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington serving as producers for the limited series.
A streaming date is still to be announced as the adaptation has only recently been confirmed by Netflix but all fans are overly-excited for this must-awaited adaptation coming.
