With the upcoming May 2022 elections here in the Philippines, we can’t help but gather some creatives to do their own personal take on how to unleash more of their creativity in this election season while supporting their chosen candidate.
The virtual world plays a huge impact on how well people are going to convince other people on why should they vote this candidate whether in the high positions of president and vice president. With flying colors in posters, tarpaulins, and flyers—the virtual world is here to dominate the kingdom.
‘Let Leni Lead’ is a mobile game application which highlights Vice President Leni Robredo’s achievements and her 2022 presidential platform. The goal of the game is to explore the Philippines while collecting hearts to gather fellow Filipinos. It also has a feature wherein you also have to gather pink roses to upgrade candidacy.
And we all know what those pink roses mean, right? In the start of the election campaign, VP Leni Robredo’s supporters built a tagline with #KulayRosasAngBukas and supporters call themselves “kakampink” which is kakampi in pink and the color pink is VP Robredo’s campaign color.
The app is in a retro-aesthetic inspired by 8-pixel art art games. Its graphics and music are very much synonymous to that of Super Mario games.
In the trailer of the game, you can see that VP Leni is travelling to different places like the current situation now of doing campaign rallies in different provinces and big cities here in the Philippines like Pasig, Naga, Bohol, Samar, Surigao, and Cebu. It also displays the amazing projects and initiatives of VP Leni as well as her impressive academic achievements.
The game might be little bit tricky as it gets harder to collect all the heart and roses in places. You’ll have to repeat some game levels to meet the minimum requirement for you to get on to the harder ones or the next levels.
‘Let Leni Lead’ mobile game was developed by a computer engineer based in Davao named J. Law Cordova. He works as a senior software developer specifically working on software for healthcare industry. According to him, he’s still planning to improve and add a few more upgrades before the May 9 elections.
Although ‘Let Leni Lead’ is not available yet on iOS, you can still have it for free on Google play.
