Rookie K-pop Group ‘Aespa’ Performs At Coachella Stage

Record Label 88rising once again brought another K-pop group after wowing audience with 2NE1’s comeback performance at the Coachella Stage this year.

‘Aespa’ is a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment consisting of Karina, Winter, Ningning, and Giselle. This rookie girl group debuted last November 2020 with their single ‘Black Mamba’.

‘Aespa’ has been making a noise since their debut for their astounding looks and music that topped the charts and placed themselves in Billboard charts. We all know that SM Entertainment is very much famous for its unique and eccentric music concepts and there is no exception to that because some famous K-pop groups are formed by SM Entertainment: EXO, NCT, Red Velvet, Super Junior, SHINee, and many more.

Apart from that, ‘Aespa’ is also known for their outstanding, god-tier visuals. They looked like dolls which came to life. Their visuals and overall concept led them to land an ambassadorship from French fashion house Givenchy, the first ever K-Pop artists to be chosen by the high-end fashion house. In the recently concluded Asia Artist Awards, all four members wore a look from Givenchy Resort 2022.

At Coachella, their opening made a historic debut and kept the crowd cheering as they performed their biggest hits ‘Black Mamba’, ‘Next Level’, and ‘Savage’. It’s more significant, as this is the group’s first performance in front of a live audience since their debut in 2020.

Aside from that, they also stunned audience with their premier performance of their new, unreleased song, ‘Life’s too Short’ which, according to the girl group, sings about staying true to oneself because life is too short to hate.

There’s no official announcement yet about that song in general but Aespa hinted that this song is part of their upcoming album with no official date of release yet.

On December 2021, this girl group brought home 3 awards from the 2021 Asia Artist Awards, The Hot Trend Award, The Rookie of the Year Award, and a grand prize or “Daesang” for Stage of the Year with their song ‘Next Level’.

Indeed, we can truly expect that Aespa’s era is the generation that encompasses the modern world of K-pop stans. They debuted just a few years back and they are now gaining the popularity they deserve all around the globe.
They’re literally savage for taking things to the next level (music, visuals, concepts, choreography) in the world of K-Pop and K-industry in general.
