Our favorite girl, Kim Go Eun will be on screen again as ‘Yumi’s Cells’ is getting another season.
Yumi’s Cells is a 2021 television series starring Kim Go Eun, Ahn Bo-hyun, Jin Young, Lee Yu-bi, and Park Ji-hyun. This series is based on a webtoon that circles around the life of Yumi, her love life, and her personality through each cell in her body.
This drama tells the story of Yumi, an ordinary office worker from the perspective of her brain cells that control her feelings, thoughts, and even actions. She is not very good in expressing her emotions. With a new-found inspiration at work, she grows as a person and finds happiness in her daily.
Yumi will surely have an active response to everything she needs to feel in a more appropriate way—since her cells are now actively participating, representing her daily emotions.
As people might be familiar, this is quite synonymous to “Inside Out” – a 2015 Disney animated film that tackles about emotions.
This very cute TVING-original drama series will be back this June, continuing the story where it left off with main character Yumi’s daily life. Actress Kim Go Eun will be returning for her role as Yumi, this time with her hair more grown out, while her animated cell characters will also be returning with their fun and unique personalities.
In the last season, Yumi matured through her relationship and breakup with Goo Woong, and she took on a new challenge after gaining the courage to do so from her co-worker Yoo Babi. The new season will depict the story of Yumi’s love and dreams, and more time with her own perspective of self-improvement.
