Swifties, calm your hearts down for this is not a drill.
Taylor Swift surely is the queen of surprises, sending her fans searching for hidden clues and meaning behind her every post and productivity.
Is “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” finally on the horizon?
The singer made the announcement following the release of the trailer for ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’, an upcoming show based on a novel series by Jenny Han, who also authored the ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ series. The trailer features ‘This Love (Taylor’s Version).’
“This Love” appeared deep on the 1989 track list upon the album’s initial release in 2014. The record, which has often been considered to be a much-underrated cut on the project, is the sole song on 1989 that was written solely by Swift.
It is the only one on the album that was co-produced by the man who’d been her collaborator on her previous four albums, Nathan Chapman, and also the one song on “1989” she wrote solo. Although, buried late in the track list, it was one of the least remarked-upon songs from ‘1989’ at the time. Taylor Swift later remarked that it was a tune she returned to again and again.
If it is “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” that will be coming out next, it will represent the possible jewel in the crown of the series, as a fresh look at the biggest album Swift put out in her career.
Fans are still speculating in which album Taylor’s going to release as ‘Taylor’s Version’. But you know, we never predict her side of the story so we wait.
