Mainly, own interpretation of what this truly means because we all have different perceptions of art and photographs—but in any case, this “LOVE IS” issue might be representing love in all kinds, or perhaps may fall into the category of pride since June is the Pride Month.
THE ARTIST BEHIND THE COVER STORY
Zhong Lin is a photographer and an art director born in Malaysia and is now based in Taiwan. Lin is famously known for her splendid, surreal, and sensuous style in all her photographs. Influenced by everything from her multicultural upbringing, Lin’s imaginative photographs showcase her distinct style, hinting at a diverse array of inspirations.
Some of Lin’s photographs, including the cover story from this month’s Vogue issue, are saturated in deep red and they really have a cinematic quality. Atmospheric and tinged with sensuality, they look like they could be a scene in a film by Hong Kong auteur Wong Kar-Wai.
