Fans are going crazy and the internet almost stumbled up the moment Netflix released a teaser poster for the upcoming live-action series of Ghost Fighter (Yu yu Hakusho).
Yu yu Hakusho is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi and it’s a story about a teenage delinquent who is struck and killed by a car while attempting to save a child’s life. In the Underworld, he undergoes a series of tests and is granted a second life – with a new job as a detective who investigates cases that have to do with ghosts and demons.
Everyone’s going gaga for this hit series once premiered on television in Filipino adaptation. So, with everyone growing up with this show and manga series, it brings much nostalgia.
The teaser poster features four photos: Eugene’s iconic spirit gun attack, Dennis’ rose whip, Vincent’s bandaged arm, and Alfred holding his uniform over his shoulder.
The Netflix adaptation of the series was first announced in June 2020 and production was confirmed in December of the same year. The live-action film is set to premiere in December 2023.
