88rising has confirmed the dates for its upcoming debut in Manila for the Head In The Clouds festival.
88rising has gained popularity in the past years as a musical platform and a record label primarily for Asian American and Asian artists who release their music in the United States.
88rising was founded in 2015 by Sean Miyashiro and Jaeson Ma. The company first started as a music collective and management company called CXSHXNLY (cash only) which oversees and began to contact up-and-coming artists that they found on the internet. If you’re going to recall, some of their notable artists that rose to fame throughout the years include Brian Puspos, Puspos, Dumbfounded, Joshpan, and Okasian.
At present, 88rising includes NIKI, Joji, Keith Ape, Rich Brian, Ylona, and many more.
The hip-hop label confirmed that the Philippine Leg will take place on December 09 and 10 at the SM Festival Grounds, Paranaque City, Manila.
This is a great opportunity not only to aspiring Filipino artists and existing artists who are currently on the go promoting their own independent careers, but also for the booming artists of 88rising to show their Filipino fans what they got.
Lineup isn’t confirmed yet. But we hope to see the likes of Jackson Wang, NIKI, Rich Brian, Yebi Labs, BIBI, Chung Ha, Jay Park, eaJ, Milli, and Ylona Garcia.
Also, this ‘Head In Clouds’ festival is such a striking move and marks a debut in Southeast Asian countries—another opportunity for the Philippines to showcase their extraordinary ranges. 88rising has a sub-label in the country called Paradise Rising, so they already have a roster of local acts to invite.
