This new action-adventure film is something you shouldn’t miss.
Seoul Vibe is a film about the baby drivers of Sanggye-dong who dreamed of the American dream during the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
Due to an external threat by prosecutor, the drivers are forced to create slush funds for Myeong-dong’s big-hand “Ms. Kang” to figure out her dirty secret. As a result, they become rising stars in the industry.
The Sanggye-dong friends, who were able to do everything with a “pony pick-up truck,” are now faced in severe danger. After facing the crisis, they wake up and upgrade “Pony+Sonata+Grandeur (local korean cars of the time)” to the level of SUPREME, defeating all evils of the time and leaving Korea to realize the American dream.
In the trailer, you’ll meet the drivers of the Sanggye-dong Supreme Team: top drifter Dong-wook (Yoo Ah-in), navigator Bok-nam (Lee Kyoo-hyung), master of disguise Yoon Hee (Park Ju-hyun), DJ and mixtape aficionado John (Ko Kyung-pyo), and team MacGyver Joon-gi (Ong Seong-wu).
But the show doesn’t end there. During the premier of the show last Friday, a gas station along EDSA Quezon City sold fuel for only P 7.00 pesos per liter in time for the new television series and is also part of the marketing campaign and strategies by Netflix Philippines. The gas station transformed as if we lived in that era—a Seoul vibe in the 80s.
Expect many impressive driving stunts, a fun soundtrack, and plenty of late ’80s style with this very exciting show.
‘Seoul Vibe’ is now streaming globally exclusively on Netflix.
