Attention, ReveLuvs! This is not a drill. Red Velvet will stage a comeback and release new music later this year.
Few weeks ago, South Korean media outlet Star News reported that Red Velvet are preparing to release a new album in November. SM Entertainment later responded to the report by confirming that the group are gearing up to release new music by the end of November.
We’re going to see and hear Wendy, Joy, Seulgi, Irene, and Yeri once again. What a good day to be alive!
Red Velvet’s as-yet-unnamed project may be the latest addition to their ‘The ReVe Festival 2022’ series. The project, announced in the press conference for their last comeback, is part of the group’s plan to release several records themed around the group going on an “imaginary trip”.
This will mark the group’s first comeback in approximately eight months since the release of their “The ReVe Festival 2022 – Feel My Rhythm” album in March.
If you’re curious as to what the girls are currently doing, the members have been busy with individual activities. Irene starred in the web variety show “Irene’s Work & Holiday,” while Joy starred in the drama “Once Upon a Small Town.” Wendy has been busy as a DJ for “Wendy’s Young Street,” Yeri released her duet “Nap Fairy,” and Seulgi released her first solo album “28 Reasons.”
Other details, such as the format and a definite release date, are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
Formed in 2014 by SM Entertainment, they are known for international hits, “Bad Boy,” “Psycho”, “Power Up,” “Russian Roulette,” and “Red Flavor,” among many others.
