BTS Star ‘Jungkook’ To Perform At 2022 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony

This is not a drill and you heard that right, Jungkook from BTS is set to perform at the opening ceremony for the upcoming football World Cup in Qatar.

BTS officially announced that Jungkook would be lending his voice to the soundtrack of the upcoming World Cup—and that he would also be performing at the opening ceremony later this month.

Big Hit Music wrote, “Proud to announce that Jungkook is part of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Soundtrack & will perform at the World Cup opening ceremony. Stay tuned!”

The internet broke after that announcement.

Jeon Jungkook, also referred to as “JK” or “Kookie” by his fans, is among the top artists to headline and perform in Qatar for the FIFA World Cup. ARMYs in Qatar were thrilled to spot the artist in several popular tourism landmarks in the country such as Souq Waqif and Katara.

As we all know that because of the hiatus, the band members are all thriving in their solo careers. Jungkook, meanwhile, recently released a new joint single, ‘Left and Right’, with Charlie Puth and it’s now a TikTok dancing sensation.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 opening ceremony will take place on November 20.
