You can take your TikTok videos to a whole new level with filters. New filters are constantly being added to TikTok, but the newest AI filter is currently going viral on the app. The AI, or Artificial Intelligence filter, allows users to morph their face into anything you can think, you just have to type a prompt into the box. However, the filter might not turn out how you think.
An AI greenscreen filter went viral on the app back in August, which would turn anyone’s name into a piece of art work. Around the same time, other social media platforms like Twitter were being flooded with text-to-image AI generator prompts, mainly from the popular site DALL.E.
TikTok is currently obsessed with a new artificial intelligence tool that allows users to transform themselves into historical figures. I mean, isn’t that the coolest thing on the internet like allowing your face to be transformed on a different level?
Genealogy website MyHeritage launched the free tool on its website earlier this month. Called the AI Time Machine, the feature allows users to see what they might’ve looked like in different time periods. Users then have the choice to share their results with friends and family. There’s also an out-of-body filter, which literally makes users look like they’re having an out-of-body experience. Or the Belle filter, which doesn’t turn you into a Disney princess, but does change up your look. And lately, there has also a Manga-themed filter that will transform you into an anime character.
Officially known as the AI anime filter, the new feat has been causing some issues. You see, many users claim to be finding it with ease, while others aren’t able to locate this filter.
The use of AI is extremely popular throughout the social media platform, from AI art to green screens, everyone is enjoying using Artificial Intelligence to alter their videos.
To use the filter, you only need to open the TikTok app, click the plus button in the center at the bottom, and tap effects. There’ll be a magnifying glass to search through all the different filters, so you can search ‘AI face’ to find the filter with the same name.
Once you’ve selected the filter, angle your phone until your face fits in the template, and wait for the countdown so your picture is taken. There’ll be a textbox underneath with ‘transform into’ written on it, so you can type any prompt you want in there and hit create to see your new you.
