Epic Showdown: Why Street Woman Fighter 2 Has Become The Ultimate Obsession

NGL, we’re here for the thrill of it all.

This current trend is all over the internet, and the hype is worth it! Street Woman Fighter 2 is changing the game when it comes to swag and edginess.

  • Street Woman Fighter 2 is the second installment of the “Street Woman Fighter”, all-female dance survival franchise that features eight renowned domestic and international dance crews.
  • For each mission, different guest judges, such as Japanese dancer Rie Hata, Mike Song, Bae Yoon-jung, and Aiki, will join the boy band Monsta X’s dancers Monika and Shownu on the judging panel.
  • In addition to being the most watched program on Mnet in 2021, “Street Woman Fighter” was also one of the most watched programs in Korea.
  • Kang Daniel, a singer, reprises his role as host from the original “Street Woman Fighter” and the subsequent all-male version titled “Street Man Fighter,” which aired last year.

The internet was wrecked due to the second season’s popularity. Believe it or not, you’ll get a grip on it too.

SWF’s second season added a global element to the program by bringing in two international crews to compete: the Japanese dance team Tsubakill and Jam Republic, a dance studio network made up of 28 different studios across 23 nations.

Some major fun facts:

  • Kirsten Dodgen, the head of Jam Republic, has collaborated with well-known performers like Justin Bieber and Jennifer Lopez as well as influential K-pop agencies like YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and SM Entertainment.
  • Members of Tsubakill have collaborated with artists such as American singer-songwriter Janet Jackson, Japanese singer Takuya Kimura, and others.
  • The other six Korean teams—1Million, Deep N DAP, Bebe, Mannequeen, Wolf’lo, and Ladybounce—are also well-known both in and out of Korea.
  • Dancer Lia Kim is the leader of Million, which has worked with Hwasa, Lee Hyo-ri, Twice, Sunmi, and Mamamoo.
  • Deep N DAP designed choreography for Mamamoo, Red Velvet, and Jessi.
  • Bebe is renowned for creating the choreography for Kai, CL, and Aespa’s Next Level Savage, Illusion, and other songs.

Being a fan of the Korean entertainment industry, particularly music, it is very important to realize how they take dancing and choreography to the next level. It brings a lot of change because a lot of people have no idea what it is like to be a dancer with overflowing knowledge of this kind of art.

GETTING TO KNOW THE TEAMS

MANNEQUEEN

  • According to some people from the Reddit community, this team is SWF 2’s main villain.
  • The members of the group include Funky Y, Buckey, Waackxxxy, Redlic, Yoonji, and Cera.

JAM REPUBLIC

  • If you’re up to date on the most recent trends, then you must have heard of this group, as they’re one of the most famous of them all.
  • Kirsten, Ling, Latrice, Emma, and Audrey make up the group.

BEBE

  • Led by the charismatic leader Bada Lee, it’s going viral among the fans with Lee’s dance challenge, Smoke.
  • Bebe’s moves are one of a kind; they either make it or break, but they will surely leave you in awe with all those swaggy moves.
  • The group consists of Bada, Lusher, Tatter, Kyma, Minha, Cheche, and Soweon.

TSUBAKILL

  • They’re hailed as one of the most underrated groups here in SWF, but deep down, we know how much they serve.
  • Akamen, Sayaka, Miki, Momo, Yumeri, and Rena make up the six-person dance group TSUBAKILL.

1MILLION

  • Harimu from the Street Girls Fighters is competing with this team. At a young age, Harimu attracted a lot of attention for her incredible dancing abilities.
  • Lia Kim, Amy, Dohee, Debby, Redy, and Harimu are the group’s individuals.

WOLF’LO

  • Talking about range, this group is an expert in that: micdrop! These ssen unnies, a South Korean hip-hop dance group, are not to be trifled with.
  • The members of the group include Halo, Babysleek, Chocol, Mini, Yeni Cho, and Haechiwang.

LADY BOUNCE

  • Known as one of the most unique groups from this season, Lady Bounce were applauded for their looks and how individually they stand out when they’re out on mission.
  • The crew members are Vessi, Biggy, Naro, NOB, and Capri.

DEEP N DAP

  • Does their leader look familiar to you? Mina Myoung is one of the most famous choreographers and social media stars.
  • Deep N Dap consists of the following members: Mina Myoung, Downy, Soll, Locker Zee, Minny Park, JJ, and Gooseul.

Just a quick run through how tough the game is:

  • The teams have four missions to complete.
  • Mission 1 is when the dancer picks a rival from the opposing team for a one-on-one dance battle and gives them a “No Respect” sticker each time they’re chosen. Ace Battle was also introduced, where each team selects one Ace member to face a randomly chosen opponent.

  • Mission 2 is when each crew leader chooses five members, including themselves, to be split into four ranks, and each rank will work together to create a dance video. Each rank will have one main dancer chosen by judges based on choreography created and voted on by the rank’s members, with the rest becoming backup dancers.
  • Mission 3 is a K-pop death march where crews compete using the same songs from the main 4 Korean entertainment companies: SM, JYP, YG, and HYBE. If three or more choose the same one, they create 30s choreography sections, judged by non-competing crews. The two least-voted crews battle, and the loser picks a new company, with the lowest-voted crew choosing first. They also do the Choreography Copy Challenge.

  • Mission 4 is all about Mega Crew, wherein the group has to invite other dancers, including celebrities and their acquaintances, to partake in this challenge.
