Today, it is safe to say that the whole Philippines, including the Pinoy’s all over the world, are in BINI lockdown!
The 8-member girl group BINI, whose fame skyrocketed by releasing fresh bubblegum pop songs from their first EP, Talaarawan, ceaselessly captured the heart of every Filipino—claiming BINI as the next Pinay Pop star to watch out for.
THE BINI AGENDA KEEPS ON ROLLING
“Hanggang di ko naririnig na lahat kayo kumakanta ng bini di ako titigil”
On March 17, 2022, OG BLOOM and Twitter personality @yanihatesu posted a tweet proving that manifestation works. IG, BINI has the whole country in a chokehold.
Now, everyone is spending their days playing their favorite BINI songs on their preferred music platforms or dancing to their adorable choreographies and uploading them on TikTok—the BINI effect is in full swing.
With over 7 million monthly listeners on Spotify, BINI has earned the “Nation’s Girl Group” title. They’re proudly waving the P-Pop flag with their contemporaries like Alamat and SB19, who pioneered the genre in the Philippines.
ON-REPEAT
To be considered a household name in the country takes years of patience and hard work. It is a dream that Jhoanna, the group’s leader, humbly shares in their interviews during their pre-debut and launch activities.
But the stars finally aligned for BINI. Their ‘TALAARAWAN’ comeback marked a significant shift in their careers that made D’coconut girlies evolve into P-Pop Royalties. Released late last year, their song “Pantropiko” made waves in the Philippine islands as a successful summer smash hit in 2024. Following its hype, “Salamin, Salamin” was released as the title track of their latest album, mirroring the experience of falling in love or trying to confess love to someone. Then, “Karera,” the first pre-released single of the album, transformed from an inspirational song into a graduation anthem.
BINI’s discography reflects the group’s strong desire to share stories and promote P-Pop globally with their distinct tone and style. Kudos to their team at Star Music and music producers at FlipMusic for finding the sound suited for the girls and elevating the OPM brand.
BINI FILO-MENON
No one’s stopping the BINI domination!
The group has continuously charted and topped on different music-streaming platforms. Recently, they dethroned the international pop star Taylor Swift on Spotify’s Philippines Daily Top Chart, which she held for 968 days. The group also became the most-streamed P-Pop group and the first all-female group on the platform. Alongside these milestones, BINI was the recipient of the Rising Star award from Billboard Philippines’ first-ever Women in Music—an event that highlights the work and influence of Filipina artists in OPM, such as Asia’s Songbird Ms. Regine Velasquez, and Pop Icon Sarah Geronimo.
With the current popularity of BINI—Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena—they’re ready to take it to new heights for their growing fandom, BLOOMS.
As they get invites to perform at grand festivals like the UP Fair and the Pride Concert, their management also makes sure to commemorate BINI’s success by having special events like the first “Happy BINI Day” at One Ayala, which falls on June 11, the exact date of their debut, and the BINI Run, which happened last Sunday, June 23. These events served as a way to communicate with the fans and thank them, including their team behind the scenes which helped them achieve where they are now.
Fast forward to this day, and the girls are about to embark on another first on their ‘herstory’ journey—their breakthrough 3-day sold-out solo concert entitled BINIverse, starting tonight, June 28, until June 30, at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City.
IN FULL BLOOM
Bini’s first solo concert in its debut month feels like they’re coming full circle.
Their uncertainties, sleepless nights, and training have started to pay off. It may be a long journey, but their undeniable talent, hard work, and passion will always lead them to this moment where the world awaits their full bloom.
For Team Bahay, BINIverse Day 3 offers the chance to enjoy the concert from the comfort of your home. The live stream fee is P999. Get your access at iWantTFC tickets!
