Why You Always See Red And Yellow Colors On Fast Food Logos

For people who keeps on craving food from their different favorite fast food chains like McDonald’s, Jollibee, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC, Burger King, and many more—this one’s for you.

On a scale from 1-10, how hungry are you?

When you come to think of it, you will notice that fast-food logos are in the same when it comes to colors. They dominated more of their reds and yellow to shine.

Research says that those two colors are there to trigger your stimulation, hunger, and appetite. Aside from that, those colors attract attention.

The color psychology describes the color red as something that illustrates power, and love. While the color yellow gives you feelings associated with happiness, contentment, and comfort. Imagine the feelings it will give you when combined with two.

Marketing experts refer those two-color combinations as Ketchup and Mustard theory. People aren’t aware of that when they see red and yellow, their brain automatically functions and develops sensor more in the way that they want to grab a bite and crave for something more. Those colors provide our most favorite condiments paired with your favorite fries or burgers that add flavors to the food that we are eating. Convincing.

In an interview with Nicole Hesford, marketing advisor and founder of Business Academy, she told Metro UK that marketing is about connecting with people emotionally. “Color plays a leading role in that due to how people subconsciously process them. Whether we are aware of it or not, colors have connotations and we make immediate judgments based on that.”

Popular fast food chains established their colors to the people already, that’s why when new business comes up, they are often compared to the same palette and patterns these famous brands use. But who says someone can own the colors? Business owners can use it for it is the selling point in the market. People have unlimited cravings and they all love to eat.

Branding colors is such a powerful tool to sell your products in the market. Sometimes, it is the only thing people see and actually remembers when they pass by quickly.
