Gone were the days where winners from music contests like Music Bank were from big K-pop labels and K-pop idols with a name established long time ago.
STAYC (Star to a Young Culture) is a South Korean girl group formed by High Up Entertainment and is composed by six members: Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon, and J. This group debuted last November 2022 with a debut single album with the title same as their group name.
The company they are in right now and the songs they’ve been producing is owned by Black Eyed Pilsung, a very well-known producers in South Korea. When it comes to their songs, they just give the fans a new viewpoint of Korean performers with their tracks and songs paired with a very catchy point choreography. Aside from the vibes they’ve been giving and receiving, STAYC resonates a ton of talents since they are known as the girl group who are able to sing out in the ordinary level.
Their group thrives in live and radio performances that proves that they are the real deal of performance monsters despite being this early into their careers.
STAYC took music shows on another level—they won last March 4 on KBS2’s ‘Music Bank’ followed with a second consecutive win on the same show. Other than these two shows, STAYC also won first place on both MBC’s ‘Show Champion’ last March 9 and Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ on March 10.
Their latest hit single ‘RUN2U’ has been on the ‘Top 100 Popular Songs in Korea’ chart from YouTube Music for two weeks in a row while their music video has also proven STAYC’s global popularity with more than 33 million views.
