Yes, you heard that right. ‘Alice in Borderland’ is set to have its second season but who knows when?
‘Alice in Borderland’ is a 2020 science-fiction/thriller drama directed by Shinsuke Sato based on the manga with the same title by Hara Aso.
The story goes where protagonist Ryohei Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) was trapped in abandoned Tokyo together with his friends. In here, they were forced to play dangerous games in different levels and the level of difficulty resides on the style of card that is there. When you survive a particular game, you earn your “visa” which will help you extend your life. The catch is: the longer you participate in games, the longer you live. But every game gets harder. When visas expired, you will be executed by random red lasers appearing from above.
What’s good about this television series is the one-of-a-kind cinematography—of how they managed to pull off shoot location including various districts of Shibuya, a green screen that serves as replica of Shibuya crossing(which is totally iconic and superb, by the way), amazing lightworks and visual effects.
‘Alice in Borderland’ has been trending for quite some time after its Netflix release because of the staggering visuals, cinematography, editing, and graphics.
Season 2 might be released later than expected but this update on how they finished filming excites fans.
Apart from that, we all know that Arisu (Kento Yamagazi) and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) are already confirmed to be returning for this season. The excitement is still here as people come to know that some character favorites are coming back too, including: Nijirô Murakami as Shuntaro Chishiya, Ayaka Miyoshi as Ann Rizuna, and Aya Asahina as Hikari Kuina.
Fans are still clueless on what season 2 is all about. Although a teaser was released in which confirmed that an Alice in Borderland season 2 is in the works, we just know that it’s almost there.
Are there upcoming challenges that will test their stamina and critical thinking? Because Alice in Borderland games are way too creative, exciting, and scary at the same time.
The brief trailer doesn’t give away much of what’s to come in the new season but we can be sure that we’re one step away into the next season. Right now, everyone’s choice is to wait until Netflix will unveil a much more detailed trailer.
