Live-Action Film ‘Whisper Of The Heart’ To Release In October

Ghibli and anime fans, watch out for the trailer of the upcoming live-action adaptation of the animated musical film because it’s out now.

It highlights the overall story of the upcoming film, and also features the original 1995 film, as the narrator of the new trailer.

‘Whisper of the Heart’ was originally released in 1995 as an animated musical comedy and was written by legendary animator Hayao Miyazaki. The film is based on the 1989 manga of the same name by Aoi Hiiragi and was animated by Studio Ghibli.

It is s a 1995 Japanese animated musical coming-of-age romantic drama film directed by Yoshifumi Kondo and written by Hayao Miyazaki.  For bibliophiles, this can be the record as one of the most aesthetically-pleasing Ghibli movie for it shows stunning cinematography. It follows the story of Shizuku, an inquisitive young girl and a voracious reader, who longs to be a writer when she grows up. One day she notices that all of her library books have previously been taken out by one Seiji Amasawa.

Amid chasing after a large cat, befriending an eccentric antiques dealer and writing her first novel, Shizuku aims to find this mysterious boy who may well be her soul mate.

The charisma of trailer excites fans for live-action adaptations are really a thing in Japan and for anime enthusiasts.  The sequel stars Nana Seino as Shizuku and Tori Matsuzaka as Seiji.

‘Whisper of the Heart’ live-action film is set to premiere in Japan sometime this October.
