Cameos are one hell of a bomb when it comes to our favorite movies and tv shows and we’re just grateful for them.
“Cameos” usually involve a character from another work who makes a brief appearance to establish a shared universe setting, to make a point, or to offer homage.
A number of celebrities made cameos in different Netflix movies and TV shows and I think now is the right time for you to remember them:
Park Seo Jun x Parasite
During 2019 the director Bong Joon Ho presented to the public a film that would make history inside and outside of South Korea. Parasite won over the critics and also became a popular topic among fans of the cinema and the world of entertainment, leaving its mark in its wake with its surprising fame.
Min Hyuk is portrayed by Park Seo Joon in Parasite. He is precisely the friend of the young man who will travel far, so he offers him the opportunity to work as a tutor with the family he was helping. Park Seo Joon’s character in Parasite is the one who gives Gi Woo the rock, piece that accompanies his family until the end of the film.
Olivia Colman x Heartstopper
Excuse me but this is not Queen Elizabeth from ‘The Crown’. Olivia Colman stunned fans when she made a surprise appearance on Netflix’s newest series Heartstopper.
If you’re not familiar with Heartstopper’s premise just yet, the series follows the story of Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) and Nick Nelson (Kit Connor), two high schoolers who meet in class, become friends and end up developing unexpected romantic feelings for one another. Colman who makes her debut at the end of the first episode – plays Nick’s mother, Sarah.
Kim Soo-Hyun x Hotel del Luna
Hotel del Luna is a drama that is quite popular in 2019. This drama has a fairly high rating and gets a lot of praise from the audience because the story is very interesting and the players are very supportive and full of surprises. Starred by Lee Ji Eun or IU, the story revolves around a hotel that caters only to ghosts.
Kim Soo-Hyun’s appearance in Hotel del Luna surprised the audience, even his appearance was unpredictable. Even though Kim Soo-Hyun only appeared in the last episode, his appearance became a question mark and the ending of a very suspicious drama. Hotel del Luna is the eighth highest-rated Korean drama in cable television history.
Lin-Manuel Miranda x Tick, Tick, Boom!
Tick, Tick Boom! is Broadway superstar Lin-Manuel Miranda’s film adaptation of Rent creator Jonathan Larson’s autobiographical monologue of the same name, which tells the story of Larson’s quest to write his musical Superbia amid the pressure of being a struggling artist.
But of course, this film made its noise the moment after its release. And who loves musical theater more than Broadway Child, Lin-Manuel Miranda? Yes, people from Broadway made quite appearances and cameos in different scenes of this film but Miranda has also made a habit of putting himself, even if only in cameo, in his own productions.
Alicia Silverstone x Senior Year
The former Clueless star delivers a healthy dose of reality about the dangers of settling for a crown and peaking in high school. Alicia Silverstone spends less than two minutes on screen in Senior Year but much like the character she plays, her legendary presence looms large.
She played the role of Deanna Russo, longtime idol to protagonist and prom-queen wannabe Stephanie played by Rebel Wilson.
