I am sincerely hoping that the “emo” from way back are still the “emo adults” of today’s generation. Kidding!
Well, those were the days—the days where we sulk ourselves in the utmost void to listen to an emo music that is legendary.
My Chemical Romance is an American Rock Band from New Jersey consisting of of lead vocalist Gerard Way, lead guitarist Ray Toro, rhythm guitarist Frank Lero, and bassist Mikey Way.
Their songs are natural hits, to the point that you know it’s them when you heart it. You just do.
The eight-year hiatus is done as MCR is finally back with ‘The Foundations of Decay’ and this track runs for six minutes.
After disbanding in 2013, My Chemical Romance was scheduled for a 2020 reunion tour all through North America and Europe, but the pandemic forced them to put their touring plans on hold. It was pushed on a later date earlier last 2021 but because of pandemic concerns, it was pushed back again. Now, the band will finally embark on their UK and European tour starting next week in England, with the North American leg of the tour in August. MCR have also booked several festival appearances including ‘When We Were Young’ and ‘Riot Fest,’ which are slated to take place in the second half of this year.
Can you still remember the days you cling yourself to My Chemical Romance?
Fans are now speculating as to whether or not the band’s upcoming reunion shows will come with more new songs, and perhaps a fifth album.
The band’s last new material came in 2014 with ‘Fake Your Own Death‘, previously described as the band’s “eulogy” following their split the year before.
