The world’s most popular K-pop group breaks long hiatus for collaborating with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile game, “Ready for Love”.
The virtual avatars of the girls are seen exploring a new fantasy world of games in the video.
The song sees the virtual avatars of members Jisoo, Rose, Lisa, and Jennie as they explore the fantasy world in hues of pink and blue. They also ride motorcycles and experience adventures like never before in the in-game version. The girls lend their voices to the song, which is peppy with an EDM chorus that gets you feeling groovy.
In addition to their exciting collaboration with PUBG, the girl group also revealed that they will be debuting a special track and new music video for ‘BLACKPINK x PUBG Mobile 2022 In-Game Concert: The Virtual’.
They revealed that they hope to increase the opportunity for artists and fans to interact closely beyond borders and language barriers. They assured fans that they would be thoroughly entertained even if it was a virtual concert with some power-packed performances and music.
BLACKPINK released ‘Ready For Love’, a month before their comeback. The girls are currently busy filming for their upcoming album which will reportedly be released in August. No official announcement has been made as yet by the group on the same. However, their agency YG Entertainment confirmed that the comeback is on the way. It’s not just comeback, but a grand comeback according to BLINKS.
“We have prepared a lot of BLACKPINK-esque music that has been prepared with great effort over a long time. By the end of this, alongside their comeback, BLACKPINK will embark on the largest-ever world tour for a K-Pop girl group, to expand their communication and reach with fans around the world. We will continue large-scale projects for the group as well.” YG Entertainment said.
If you’re wondering what the girls ate up to during the long hiatus, they have been focusing a lot on solo activities as well. While Lisa created history recently by being the only soloist to be nominated in the Best K-pop category at the VMAs, Jisoo, Jennie, and Rose are busy with their individual careers as well.
