1. AGAIN – FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST

Fullmetal Alchemist is a Japanese manga series illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa. It’s a monolith of a series and considered to be the best anime of all time by many and counting. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood shows that for a classic you need a classic opening along with it.

‘Dragon Ball Z’ follows the adventures of Goku who, along with the Z Warriors, defends the Earth against evil. The action adventures are entertaining and reinforce the concept of good versus evil. It teaches valuable character virtues such as teamwork, loyalty, and trustworthiness that’s why this anime is such a popular anime with the 90s kids up to date.

To be honest, this opening is one of the most recognizable opening of all time. It will stay and it will leave you hanging for a little longer every single time you hear it.

3. SONO CHINO SADAME – JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE: PHANTOM BLOOD

The story of this anime revolves around the mysterious adventures of the Joestar family, beginning with an encounter involving Jonathan Joestar, his adoptive brother Dio Brando, and a Stone Mask that transforms people into vampires.

This first opening is arguably the best and the weirdest anime franchise in the history of mankind.

4. A CRUEL ANGEL’S THESIS – NEON GENESIS EVANGELION

Neon Genesis Evangelion tells the story of Shinji Ikari, a student recruited to pilot a giant biomechanical robot created to fight mysterious alien-like entities (also known as Angels) attacking the post-cataclysm territory of Tokyo-3.

The best first few seconds of any song that you will ever hear in your life, A Cruel Angel’s Thesis, is a masterpiece for the way it presents Neon Genesis Evangelion. It is the epitome of how a pop song could dig up all the emotions all your body could ever feel.

5. KAIKAIKITAN – JUJUTSU KAISEN

Jujutsu Kaisen tells the story of Yuji Itadori, a kind-hearted teenager, who joins his school’s Occult Club for fun, but discovers that its members are actual sorcerers who can manipulate the energy between beings for their own use. He hears about a cursed talisman, the finger of Sukuna, a demon, and its being targeted by other cursed beings.

The opening starts with Itadori in a Shibuya metro waking up with a red mark on his face. It also shows a glimpse of Sukuna and leads to introducing every member on the cast in their habitat in gorgeous animation and breathtaking cinematography. As the first verse is ending, the chorus pops in signaling the amazing action that the anime is highly praised for.

6. IMAGINATION – HAIKYUU

Haikyuu is a sports-themed anime about Hinata Shoyou, a short middle school student, who gained a sudden love of volleyball after watching a national championship match on TV.

This opening is one for the books of the most amazing openings ever. The way the music builds from the first chorus to the second verse leaves the viewer in a gasp of breath, making this as one of the greatest sports anime in the history with superb opening scenes.
