Chai Foncier is making a noise in social media as the trailer appears trending everywhere.
The trailer for the upcoming psychological thriller ‘Nocebo’ by Irish director Lorcan Finnegan is out and it features local actress Chai Fonacier holding her own against Hollywood stars Mark Strong and Eva Green from Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.
In the trailer, we meet Eva’s character, a fashion designer who suffers from a mysterious illness. As the illness appears to intensify, she welcomes a Filipino caregiver, played by Chai, into her home.
Chai previously described in her interview that her character was really interesting and dark. The award-winning Cebuana actress has starred in films such as ‘Patay na si Hesus,’ ‘Respeto,’ ‘Pauwi Na,’ ‘Born Beautiful’, and ‘Miss Bulalacao.’
‘Nocebo’ marks Chai’s first foray into international roles. It is set to premiere in US theaters on November 4, and by video-on-demand on November 22.
